Noble Food and Pursuits
A Chef’s Calling Feeding people has always been Chef Jim Noble’s love language. With 15 restaurants across multiple concepts, the man knows his way around a kitchen—and a community. But in an industry where margins are thinner than a crepe, why on earth would a chef give away more than 1,000,000 meals to people who can’t pay? Because Noble isn’t just running restaurants… he’s running on mission.

On Mission Back in 2010, he launched The King’s Kitchen, a nonprofit restaurant where every dollar earned went right back into the community. That’s right—every dollar. But Noble didn’t stop at “good.” He went straight for “God-honoring.” On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, he shut the doors at 3pm—not to rest, but to host Bible studies and serve free meals before reopening for dinner. That’s what you call a Kingdom double-shift. In 2014, Noble turned up the heat again by launching the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Dream Center, proving his belief that ministry shouldn’t stop at the table. It should spill into the streets. Through street outreach, donated meals, and adopting three at-risk neighborhoods, Noble and his mostly volunteer team pour out food, gifts, and love like it’s the daily special. Their goal isn’t just full stomachs—it’s full hearts. Physical, emotional, and spiritual needs all get a seat at the table.
Biblical Proportions Now, through Noble Food & Pursuits’ partnership with the Dream Center, they’re cooking up their boldest recipe yet: 10,000,000 meals given away. And they’re inviting anyone with an appetite for impact to join in by donating $5 at any Noble Food & Pursuits restaurant to help feed neighbors in need. And if you really want to put feet to your faith, Noble’s team has a spot for you. Volunteer with the Dream Center through Friday Night Street Ministry, Adopt-A-Block, Community Market, Bible Study, and more. Donations? Always welcome. Hands and hearts? Even better.

Holy Ground

But Noble wasn’t done. Because when Jesus said “Go make disciples,” He didn’t mean “when convenient.” So, the Dream Center and its partners recently purchased a 13‑acre campus—a place of healing, transformation, and hope. Designed as a triage center for recovery, it will offer a 12‑month transitional living program for individuals and families battling addiction, homelessness, and hopelessness. The campus will feature 32 six‑bedroom, six‑bath homes, housing 200–500 people each year, along with job readiness training, life skills development, and discipleship.

Chef Noble is proving that loving your neighbor isn’t just a side dish—it’s the main course. So why not join him? Volunteer. Donate. Serve. Pray. Be part of something that tastes like the Kingdom.
